Cathy M. Mason

Cathy M. Mason, CMP, DES has extensive experience in event management and global event coordination. Cathy currently holds the role of Director, Global Events at YPO, where they manage a team responsible for designing and implementing events for 27,000 chief executives across more than 130 countries. Prior to YPO, Cathy served as President at The Mason Group and Vice President of Meetings & Events at Embark LLC. Cathy has also held positions at Minding Your Business, Inc., American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), Bostrom, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and BTI Americas Inc. Throughout their career, Cathy has demonstrated their ability to lead and manage diverse event teams while effectively handling budgets and delivering high-quality services.

Cathy M. Mason, CMP, DES has a High School diploma from John Burroughs School. Cathy then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. In addition to their academic achievements, Cathy has also received several certifications, including the Pandemic On-Site Protocol Training, Pandemic Compliance Advisor, Pandemic Compliance Officer, Digital Event Strategist (DES), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). The CMP certification was obtained in December 1997 from the Convention Industry Council, while the DES certification was obtained in 2020 from PCMA.
