Yann Struchen

Yann Struchen is a Mechanical Development Engineer specializing in the development of autoinjectors at Ypsomed AG since July 2022. Responsibilities include creating 3D CAD data, conducting feasibility assessments for manufacturability and automated assembly, and managing the procurement of prototype components. Prior experience encompasses a role as a Laboratory Engineer focused on test development and validation, with expertise in measurement procedures according to ISO 13485, and training employees. Yann also completed a Master’s Thesis at ETH Zürich on pressure-measuring insoles for pediatric gait analysis and gained R&D experience at Sonova Group focusing on DLP 3D printing technology and material properties. Yann holds a Master of Science in Medical Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Technology from ETH Zürich, with ongoing education in Engineering Design and Material Selection.
