Sriram Balusu

Sriram Balusu is a professional with extensive experience in the biomedical research and venture capital sectors. Currently serving as a VC fellow at Ysios Capital since October 2024, Sriram is involved in equity research. Concurrently, Sriram works as a consultant at Longitude Capital, where responsibilities include mapping the neurodegenerative disease landscape and conducting due diligence on Alzheimer's clinical-stage assets. Prior roles include a postdoctoral researcher at Research Foundation Flanders and VIB-KU Leuven Center for Brain & Disease Research, where Sriram focused on neuroscience research and the validation of new MMP substrates in inflammation and sepsis models. Sriram's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Ghent University and additional postdoctoral studies in Neuroscience at KU Leuven.
