Max Cottrell

Max Cottrell has over 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, and account management roles in the cybersecurity and technology industries. Max is currently employed at Yubico as the Enterprise Accounts Director, where they focus on providing passwordless MFA solutions to enterprise clients. Prior to Yubico, Max worked at Coalfire as a Senior Business Development Executive from 2018 to 2021. Max also served as the Vice President of Business Development at Coalfire Systems, Inc. from 2010 to 2017, where they provided IT security and compliance solutions to various industries. Before that, Max was the Director of Business Development at Viecore FSD, where they handled business development and marketing activities for a software development firm catering to the U.S Department of Defense. In their early career, Max worked as the Director of Marketing and Account Management at Persystant Technologies, where they launched a managed-service offering data collaboration and distance learning services. Max also served as the New Venture Manager at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs innovations. Throughout their career, Max has demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, business development, and marketing.

Max Cottrell has a strong educational background in both business and liberal arts. Max obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance from NYU Stern School of Business, where they studied from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, Max earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Middlebury College, where they majored in Political Science and American Literature. Max attended Middlebury College from 1982 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Max Cottrell also holds a certification as an AWS Cloud Practitioner, which they obtained from Amazon Web Services Cloud Computing in May 2019.
