Ankit Bhandari

Ankit Bhandari has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current roles at YuJa as a Compliance Project Manager and Quality Assurance Engineer, which they began in September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Western University from 2016 to 2021 as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, where they taught and supervised laboratory sessions for an undergraduate course while also working towards their Ph.D.

Before their time at Western University, Ankit worked at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in 2015 as a part of a project studying shear zones of the Archean Granites. In 2015, they also had a summer internship at Cairn India Ltd, where they integrated core and well log data to suggest a depositional model for a specific formation.

Ankit has also had experience working with the Training and Placement Cell at IIT Roorkee from 2014 to 2015 as a Company Coordinator, where they organized recruitment sessions and facilitated connections with HR personnel from various industries. In 2014, they had a summer internship at IISER Bhopal.

Ankit's earlier work experience includes a role as Joint Secretary for the Hamrock Society-Department of Earth Sciences at IIT Roorkee from 2013 to 2014, and as Manager Events for Geo-Synergy 2014 at Cognizance, IIT Roorkee from December 2013 to March 2014.

Ankit Bhandari's education history begins in 2008 when they attended Lucknow Public School for high school. Ankit then moved on to Kendriya Vidyalaya Aliganj, Lucknow from 2009 to 2011, where they completed their Intermediate degree in Science and Mathematics.

In 2011, Ankit Bhandari joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, where they pursued an Integrated Master Of Technology degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. Ankit completed this program in 2016.

Afterward, Ankit Bhandari attended Western University from 2016 to 2021, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geology/Earth Science, General.

In addition to their formal education, Ankit Bhandari has also obtained various certifications. Ankit completed the course "Computers, Waves, Simulations: A Practical Introduction to Numerical Methods using Python" on Coursera in November 2019. In July 2021, they obtained "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" certification, followed by "R Programming" certification in August 2021. In February 2022, they completed the course "Programming Foundations with JavaScript, HTML and CSS." In May 2022, they obtained certifications for "Java Programming: Solving Problems with Software" and "Java Programming: Arrays, Lists, and Structured Data." Lastly, in May 2023, Ankit Bhandari obtained the certification for "Java Programming: Principles of Software Design," all from Coursera.
