Christian Richter

Christian Richter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Christian began their career as a Thesis Student at Robert Bosch GmbH in 2005 before transitioning to a Professional Career Trainee position at Robert Bosch LLC, Research and Technology Center North America. In 2006, they joined IBM as an Associate IT Architect, where they led the technical scope of major components within new IBM products and resolved performance defects.

In 2009, Richter joined CSIRO, initially as a Research Project Leader and Team Leader. Christian later became the Acting Theme Leader for Sensor and Sensor Networks and ultimately served as the Research Stream Leader for Service Platforms. In these roles, they managed a multi-million dollar project portfolio focusing on strategic business challenges in the IT and service sector. Christian successfully managed cross-project dependencies, developed strategic technology roadmaps, and created new business relationships with leading companies.

Richter then moved to CSIRO's Data61 in 2016 as the Product Portfolio Manager, responsible for developing long-term product strategies based on market analysis and technology trends, with a specific focus on unmanned aerial vehicles and analytics.

In 2016, Richter also took on the role of Director at GeoSLAM Ltd, where they served as the nominee director for CSIRO. Christian provided corporate governance and strategic advice, as well as evaluated new growth opportunities for the company.

Most recently, Richter joined YUKKA Lab AG in 2017 as the Chief Technology Officer, although the duration of their role is not specified.

Christian Richter completed their education at UNSW Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Executive degree from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Cologne University of Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Diplom-Informatiker (German 4-year degree) with a specialization in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Christian Richter has obtained additional certifications. These include a certification as a Graduate - Company Directors from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Project Manager - PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from APMG-International, and a Software Tester - Foundation Level certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
