Yukon Public Schools
Cody Sanders joined the School Board in May of 2021 representing Seat #5. Cody and his wife, Hayden, moved to Yukon in 2017 and have one daughter who attends Yukon Public Schools. Upon moving here, they quickly fell in love with the community values of Yukon.
A firefighter since 2009, Cody currently serves in Edmond on specialized teams such as Rescue Diving, Hazardous Materials Response and Technical Rescue and is assigned to a State Response Team that deploys around the nation to mitigate hazards.
In addition to his public service, Cody owns a small business in Yukon. He opened a child care business in 2015. As a member of the YPS Board of Education, he strongly believes that strength comes from the community and that elected officials must listen and allow the public to have control regarding their children’s education. Cody Sanders looks forward to facing future challenges with a servant’s heart.

Yukon Public Schools
Yukon Public Schools (YPS) opened its doors in 1891 in a small, one-room frame building. Since then, the school system has grown to a population of over 8,400+ students. YPS is fully accredited by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. In addition, Yukon High School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
