Jaco Oosthuizen

Jaco Oosthuizen is the Co-Founder and Chief Insurance Officer at yulife. Jaco has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to yulife, they were the Head of Disruptive Innovation Strategy at MMI Holdings Limited from June 2013 to December 2015. Before that, they were the Head of Momentum Multiply from February 2010 to May 2013 and from January 2004 to December 2009. Jaco also worked as the Chief Exponential Officer at Exponential Ventures from December 2015 to July 2017. Prior to that, they were the Head of Corporate Actuarial at Momentum Life from August 1997 to June 2003. Jaco started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at Sage Life from February 1989 to January 1997.

Jaco Oosthuizen has a diploma in strategy, innovation, and globalisation from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Jaco is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) and has a BSc in maths and physics from the University of Pretoria.

They are on a team with Shay Khosrowshahi - Head of Revenue Operations, Jonathan Roomer - Co-Founder & Head of Customer Success, and Kerry Barber - Head of Compliance. Their manager is Sammy Rubin, Co-Founder & CEO.
