Talia is responsible for providing leadership and direction to YW’s programs and services.
Talia has spent the past two decades in progressive leadership positions within the non-profit sector with a focus on prevention services, evaluation, product design, and social innovation. Prior to her role with YW, she worked with United Way of Calgary and Area and was behind the development and implementation of The Social Impact Lab – a place for exploring new business models to address philanthropic disruption using design thinking.
Talia holds a Masters of Criminology with Honors from University of Fraser Valley where she focused her thesis on the preventing sexually exploitation of youth in Canada. She also has spent time as the President/Chair of the South West Calgary Youth Justice Society Committee and as a mentor with the Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council.
