Jana Spencer has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to 2021. Jana began their career as a Women's Advocate at The Women's Safe House, where they assisted residents in emergency shelter and maintained the facility's cleanliness and security. In 2016, they worked as a Program Assistant at St. Patrick Center, where they provided financial stability counseling and managed case loads for clients in the Rapid Rehousing Program. Jana also served as a Program Assistant for the Affinia Project at St. Patrick Center, where they completed data entry, prepared reports, and maintained client files. Jana later worked as a Transitional Living Coach at Almost Home, providing support to clients in transitional housing programs. Jana then held various roles at the City of Chattanooga, including Lead Site Monitor for the YFD Food Program and Property Tax Clerk for Tax Relief Programs. In 2018, they served as a Lead Shift Manager at Chattanooga Room In The Inn, providing training and supervision to shift managers. Jana also had experience as a Recreation Aide at the City of Chesterfield and as a Head Start Family Coach at Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation. Jana Spencer has a diverse education history. Jana began their educational journey at Thurston Senior High School, where they obtained a diploma. After high school, they attended Lane Community College from 2003 to 2005 as a transfer student, focusing on Political Science and Geography. Jana then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Oregon from 2005 to 2008, majoring in Political Science and Geography. In 2013, they obtained a Nutrition Educator Paraprofessional Certification from Utah State University Extension.
