Chief Impact Officer at YWCA York

Edquina Washington serves as the Chief Impact Officer for YWCA York since December 2022, while also holding the position of City Council Member for the City of York, PA since December 2010. In their council role, Edquina successfully introduced and enacted "The CROWN Act" legislation, protecting race-based hairstyles, and "Safe Time" legislation, which expands sick leave for employees affected by domestic violence and similar issues. Edquina is the Founder/CEO of Redeemed Queen, LLC, an organization focused on empowering women through creativity and faith. Additional leadership roles include Advisory Council Member at York County Economic Alliance, Advisory Board Member at Salvation Army York, and former Board President at Lincoln Charter School. Edquina's educational background includes a Master of Science in Human Services from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from York College of Pennsylvania.
