George Russell

Mr. Russell is a Partner and Head of C-Suite Advisory with ZCG Consulting (“ZCGC”). Mr. Russell has extensive experience building consumer and industrial product, service, and technology companies. Mr. Russell is responsible for developing and enhancing the performance of executives, teams, and organizations across ZCG portfolio companies.

Prior to joining ZCGC, Mr. Russell was the founder and Operating Partner with The Concord Group (“Concord”). While with Concord, he served two Private Equity Product and Service Companies where he enhanced CEO and management team effectiveness and drove cost efficiencies.

Prior to Concord, Mr. Russell served as the CEO of PureRed, where he led the digital transformation and rapid growth of this leading marketing service and technology provider.

For over twenty years, Mr. Russell has served in the capacity of CEO or Operating Partner across several Private Equity firms including GSO/Blackstone, Catterton Partners, Oak Hill Capital Partners, Summit Partners, Charlesbank Capital Partners, AEA Investors, Cerberus Capital Management, and Bain Capital where he successfully identified and implemented improvements to accelerate portfolio company growth and profitability.

Mr. Russell received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Western New England College and his MBA in Marketing from St. John’s University.
