Catherine P.

Catherine P. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Catherine is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Z-Terra Inc., a role they began in April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer at Playful People Productions starting from January 2021.

From 2012 to 2021, Catherine held various positions at BP, a global oil and gas company. Catherine worked as the Director of Financial Solutions, leading the finance transformation team for Upstream Financial Solutions. Catherine successfully deployed the finance strategic vision globally, including in countries such as Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Oman, Angola, Brazil, Trinidad, and the Gulf of Mexico. Before this, Catherine served as the Director of Upstream Financial Solutions, overseeing the finance transformation team and contributing to finance strategic vision deployments.

Prior to their roles at BP, Catherine held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Z-Terra Inc. from February 2011 to May 2012. Catherine also served as the President of 123-CFO during the same time period.

In their earlier career, Catherine worked as the CFO of Americas for SPX Corporation's Flow Technology division from March 2008 to January 2011. Catherine provided financial leadership for the division's operations in Canada, the US, Mexico, and South America. Catherine also held the role of President at 123-CFO from July 2003 to December 2007, providing CFO services to high-growth companies, with a focus on managing cash relationships with bankers and investment bankers.

Catherine's earlier experience includes working as the Corporate Controller at Silicon Storage Technology, Inc. from October 1995 to April 2003. Catherine began their career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in January 1990, where they served as a Manager in Business Assurance. In this role, they specialized in conducting due diligence work on acquisition candidates.

In addition to their professional experience, Catherine has served on the Board of Directors at Rainard School from 2009 to 2012.

Catherine P. obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Stanford University, where they studied from 1984 to 1989. Catherine also completed an MBA in Finance and OMIS (Operations Management Information Systems) from Santa Clara University. Additionally, Catherine earned a second BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Catherine has obtained several certifications, including the Executive Data Science Capstone and Data Science in Real Life, both from Coursera Course Certificates. Catherine also completed a course on Managing Data Analysis by Johns Hopkins University on Coursera. Catherine has certification in A Crash Course in Data Science and Building a Data Science Team from Coursera as well. Apart from these data science-related certifications, Catherine is also a Certified Public Accountant in the states of California and Texas.
