Matt Barnes

Matt Barnes currently serves as Group Quality Manager at Zachry Group since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Field Quality Control Supervisor at Universal Plant Services from August 2014 to May 2023, and CWI Inspector at Weld Spec for a brief period in 2014. Barnes has also worked as a Quality Control Inspector at JV Industrial Companies, Ltd., and Richard Construction Inc., and held supervisory positions at Triple S Industrial Corp. and Southeast Texas Industrial Services. From April 2011 to March 2013, Barnes served as QA/QC Manager for Gulf Copper Industrial, overseeing the development of quality management systems. Earlier experience includes managing quality control functions at STARCON International during a major turnaround at the BP Texas City refinery in 2010. Barnes holds certification as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector from the American Welding Society.
