Stephen Westwell

Stephen Westwell serves as Chairman of Zaffra, focusing on the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuels to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the aviation sector. Stephen has extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director at Brookfield Renewable, managing one of the world's largest renewable power platforms. Previously, Stephen held the position of Chairman at Sasol and served as both Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Control Risks. Stephen's leadership roles include CEO positions at EFR Group, Silver Ridge Power, and BP Solar, as well as significant contributions at BP in various capacities, including Group Chief of Staff and CEO of BP Alternative Energy. Stephen's academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Cape Town, along with an engineering degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
