Branavan Selvasingham

Branavan Selvasingham has extensive work experience in the technology and financial services industry. Branavan is currently employed as the VP - AI and Automation at Zafin since July 2023. Before joining Zafin, they worked at EY as the Director - AI, Data, Modernization - Financial Services from February 2023 to June 2023. Prior to EY, they held various positions at IBM, starting as an Architect/Lead Full-Stack - AI, IoT from July 2018 to December 2019. Branavan then served as a Manager and later a Senior Manager - Solution Architect - AI, Search, Ops, IoT from December 2019 to January 2023 at IBM. Before joining IBM, Branavan co-founded Nimbus POS Inc. in September 2015 and worked as a Co-Founder until June 2018. Branavan began their career at Microsoft as an Associate Account Executive - Financial Services Sector from April 2013 to August 2014 and then as an Account Executive - Financial Services Sector from August 2014 to June 2015. Branavan also gained experience as an intern at Apple on the iPod & iPhone Accessories - Product Design Team from September 2008 to December 2008.

Branavan Selvasingham completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and Entrepreneurship at the Schulich School of Business - York University from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

In addition to their formal education, Branavan has obtained several certifications. Branavan became a Google Cloud Certified Professional Machine Learning Engineer in September 2022. Branavan also obtained the Level 2 - Master Certified Solution Architect certification from The Open Group in January 2021. Furthermore, they earned the IBM Certified Architect - Expert (L2) certification in October 2020 and the GCP - Data Engineer certification from Google in August 2017. Additionally, Branavan has an IBM Intellectual Capital/ Intellectual Property Creator certification, although the specific details regarding the month and year of its attainment are unknown.
