Cliff Thornton has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Cliff'smost recent role is as Head of Engineering Operations at Zafin, where they oversee software development operations and ensures timely project delivery. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Zafin, responsible for delivering core products and managing strategic partnerships. In addition, Cliff has experience in singing lead in a chorus, co-founding and serving as Co-President of an NPO that delivers project management training to other NPOs, and holding various roles at Minto Group Inc., 3C Synergy Inc., Canada Border Services Agency, IBM Canada Ltd., PMI OVOC, Cognos (an IBM Company), and International Datacasting. Throughout their career, Cliff has demonstrated skills in project management, IT operations, release management, and customer support.

Cliff Thornton, PMP®, ITIL®, holds a diploma in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, which they received between 1989 and 1991. In addition to their diploma, Cliff has obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from Global Knowledge in August 2013 and the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2011.
