Ahmad Galal

Ahmad Galal is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as the SDPO Chief Mate at ZMI Holdings since January 2017. Prior to this role, Ahmad held various positions including DPO 2nd Mate as a freelancer and 2nd Officer at Misr Gulf Shipping & Offshore Co. from October 2015 to December 2016. Additional experience includes serving as a 3rd to 2nd Officer at Mahony Shipping Company and a Junior Officer in the Egyptian Navy's destroyers brigade. Ahmad began a maritime career as a Deck Cadet at the Egyptian Maritime Safety Authority. Ahmad obtained a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transport from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, completing studies in 2011.
