Benoit Chevallier-Mames has been working in the field of security engineering since 2000. Benoit'scareer began at Gemplus, where they were a Security Engineer responsible for the implementation of public key algorithms on various environments, including smart cards. In 2007, they joined the Laboratory of Cryptology at the Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d'information (ANSSI), where they worked as a Cryptologist. In 2008, they joined Apple as a Security Software Engineer, where they worked on digital right management (DRM) technology and white-box cryptography. In 2020, they joined Zama as the Concrete-Numpy Team Lead, where they launched the first version (v0.2) of Concrete Numpy. Benoit then became the Concrete-ML Team Lead, where they are currently building an open source framework for privacy-preserving machine learning (ML) on top of Concrete-Numpy.
Benoit Chevallier-Mames began their educational career in 1995, attending Classes Preparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles to study Mathematics & Physics. Benoit then attended CentraleSupélec from 1997 to 2000, earning an Engineer degree in Computer Science. Finally, they completed a Ph.D. in Cryptology at Université Paris Cité from 2003 to 2006.
