Chewe Chisha has a strong background in internal audit, with experience in various financial institutions and consulting firms. Chisha served as the Chief Audit Executive at Zambia National Building Society, where they oversaw the internal audit function and contributed to the achievement of strategic objectives. Prior to this role, Chisha worked at Stanbic Bank as the Acting Head Internal Audit, responsible for governance, strategy, stakeholder management, and audit plan delivery. They also provided expert guidance on engagements across Africa. Chisha had managerial positions at Stanbic Bank and Zambia National Commercial Bank, where they developed risk-based audit plans and evaluated organizational risk areas. They began their career as a Senior Accountant at KPMG.

Chewe Chisha completed a degree in Accountancy/Finance from ZCAS and became an ACCA Fellow from 2007 to 2009. They also completed level 1 at the CFA Institute and obtained certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
