Francis Kaping'A

Francis Kaping'a is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, software engineering, and teaching. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Artificial Intelligence at the Zambia Revenue Authority since July 2023, Francis leads data science initiatives to enhance revenue collection. Prior roles include a Financial Business Analyst and Senior Software & Data Engineer at Volvo Cars, where work focused on user-centric software projects using C++ and Python in agile teams. Additionally, Francis taught iOS app and web development and computer science at Oxford Royale Academy, cultivating strong communication and leadership skills. Earlier experiences include software engineering at ZRA and IT support at BancABC. Francis holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Software Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Zambia.
