Giovanni Mattoni

Giovanni Mattoni has a strong and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and engineering field. Giovanni has served as the Head of Corporate Engineering at Zambon since 2022. Prior to that, they held various leadership roles at Merck Group, including Head of Global Biotech Engineering and Head of Global Pharma Engineering. Giovanni also worked as the Asset Management Lead at GSK and held multiple positions at Roche, such as Engineering & Projects Manager and Utilities & Technical Services Manager. Throughout their career, Giovanni has demonstrated their expertise in strategy guidance, CapEx investment, compliance requirements, asset management, and project execution.

Giovanni Mattoni completed their education in three different institutions. Giovanni began their academic journey by attending Liceo Scientifico P Giovio - COMO from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained their "maturità scientifica" degree. Giovanni then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano from 1991 to 1998. Their most recent educational endeavor took place in 2020 at IMD, where they completed the Leadership & Safety Culture Program.
