Alin Gavril Chitu

Alin Gavril Chitu has a diverse and extensive work experience. From September 2005 to December 2009, they worked as a Promovendus and later as a PhD Student at TU Delft, focusing on topics such as lip reading, audio-visual speech recognition, image segmentation, pattern recognition, machine learning, object detection, and data fusion.

From February 2010 to March 2019, Alin worked at TNO - Production Optimization & Reservoir Engineering as a Medior Researcher Scientist/Senior Software Engineer. Alin Gavril'srole involved bridging the gap between research ideas and practical applications in the energy transition domain, specifically in Computer Assisted Reservoir Management, Life Cycle Optimization for Hydrocarbon Reservoirs, CCS, and energy networks.

In 2019, they joined Biodentify as the Head of Technology. In this position, Alin coordinated machine learning, bioinformatics, and software development activities. Alin Gavril focused on improving existing technology, searching for more efficient algorithms, and applying the technology to client data for analysis.

Currently, Alin works at Zander Labs as the AI Team Lead since July 2022. Alin Gavril'sresponsibilities involve leading the software development team and utilizing cutting-edge technology and neurodata to optimize software development processes and workflows.

Alin Gavril Chitu began their education at the University of Bucharest in 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2001. Alin Gavril then pursued a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science at the same university from 2001 to 2003. Following this, Alin attended Delft University of Technology from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a second Master's degree in Applied Mathematics.
