Thorsten O. Zander

Thorsten O. Zander has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Thorsten O. is currently serving as a Lichtenberg Professor for Neuroadaptive Human-Computer Interaction at Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg since July 2020. In 2016, they co-founded Zander Labs. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Visiting Professor at the Higher School of Economics. Previously, they served as a Scientific Advisor at Brain Products GmbH from 2017 to 2019. Thorsten O. also held the position of Group Lead "Team PhyPA" at Technische Universität Berlin from 2012 to 2017 and from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems from 2011 to 2013 and from 2011 to 2012. Thorsten O. also served as an Affiliated Research Scientist at Technische Universität Graz in 2011. Thorsten O. started their career as a Scientific Coworker at Technische Universität Berlin from 2005 to 2010 in the field of Human Machine Systems.

Thorsten O. Zander obtained their Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Münster between 1995 and 2004. Thorsten O. then pursued further education and completed their PhD in Brain-Computer Interfaces at the Department of Human‑Machine Systems in the Technische Universität Berlin from 2005 to 2010.
