Sean Maher

Sean Maher is a Senior Seismologist at Zanskar Geothermal & Minerals, Inc., starting in December 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey from August 2022 to December 2023, and as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at UC Santa Barbara from September 2017 to August 2022. Sean also worked as a Course Assistant for GEOL200: Introduction to Mineralogy and Petrology at the University of Puget Sound in early 2016. Sean holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Geophysics from UC Santa Barbara, a Master of Science in Volcanology from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology with a Mathematics minor from the University of Puget Sound. Additional educational experience includes studying at the University of Canterbury from 2014 to 2015.
