Clemente Parga

Clemente Parga, Ph.D., currently serves as the Engineering Manager for Materials & Manufacturing at Zap Energy, focusing on fusion reactor design and materials selection, testing, and qualification since September 2021. Previously, Clemente held roles as Lead Engineer for Advanced Materials in fusion reactor design and as a Materials & Processes Engineer at Blue Origin, managing technology development for rocket engine design. With a strong background in nuclear fuel and reactor materials, Clemente worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Idaho National Laboratory and contributed to various high-temperature and nuclear reactor safety research projects during tenure at CEA and LNE. Clemente earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Idaho and holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso.
