Jinhua Yang

Jinhua Yang is an accomplished executive in the film and media industry, currently serving as President of Zap China at ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc. since October 2023. With a robust background that includes roles such as Chief Operating Officer at Astral Film Inc., overseeing the production of the documentary series "Exploring China," and Director of Douban Movie Pro, Jinhua has demonstrated a strong leadership presence. Previous positions include Executive Producer for the film "Small Town Wisconsin" and CEO of Douban FILMS AWARDS and RDR Culture and Communications. Jinhua has also held the role of President at Soulpower Films USA, contributing to notable projects involving post-production and 3D conversion. Jinhua's career began at PBS as a Producer, Writer, and Director, after earning a Master of Fine Arts in Film/TV from UCLA and a Bachelor's degree from Renmin University of China.
