Robert Wiggers is currently the Vice President of Hardware Engineering at ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc. Robert has a diverse background in mechanical engineering, with experience in companies such as Mantle Inc., Verb Surgical Inc., RefleXion Medical, and Varian Medical Systems. Robert has worked on a variety of projects ranging from metal 3D printing to robotic surgery systems. Robert's expertise includes managing engineering teams, developing precision electro-mechanical assemblies, and defining core algorithms for system calibration and feedback. Robert holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and an MS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Controls and Manufacturing System Engineering from San Jose State University.
