Artem Strashko is a Senior QML Application Scientist at Zapata AI. With a background in theoretical physics and applied mathematics, Artem has worked on ML and GenAI projects using classical and quantum-inspired methods for industrial applications. Prior to joining Zapata AI, Artem served as a Research Fellow at Simons Foundation, focusing on developing tensor networks for machine learning applications. Artem completed a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of St Andrews, where Artem performed analytical and numerical studies of organic molecules and inorganic semiconductors. During their time as a Masters Student at the Institute for Spectroscopy Russian Academy of Sciences, Artem conducted analytical studies of optical properties of metals covered by thin films of resonant materials.
