David McIntyre

David McIntyre has extensive experience in the automotive industry, having held various leadership roles in well-known companies. David is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at Zapp Electric Vehicles Group Limited. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Director APAC & China at Group Lotus from 2019 to 2021. David also worked as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Simpson Marine Limited from 2017 to 2018 and as the Managing Director - Asia Pacific Region at McLaren Automotive Ltd from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they held the position of Managing Director (CEO) at Jaguar Land Rover Korea from 2012 to 2015. David also worked at Bentley Motors as the General Manager China & Asia Pacific from 2005 to 2012, and at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd as the Corporate Marketing Manager, Global, from 2001 to 2005. Prior to entering the automotive industry, they gained experience at Porsche AG in various sales and marketing roles from 1995 to 2001. David began their career at Hoechst AG in sales and marketing for chemicals from 1990 to 1993.

David McIntyre's education history spans from 1985 to 2021. In 1985, they attended Crossley Heath Grammar School in Halifax, UK, where they obtained their A-Levels in French, German, Geography, and General Studies. From 1990 to 1992, they participated in the Hoechst Industrial Scholarship Scheme at Ludwig-Erhard-Schule in Frankfurt, completing a management training program focused on finance, sales, accounts, marketing, and economics.

In 1994, David enrolled in Aston University and obtained a BSC Hons in IBML (International Business & Modern Languages) German from 1994 to 1997. Continuing their education in 2013, they attended China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) for executive education in the field of Psychology of Coaching Teams and Leading Organization.

In 2018, David completed an Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Studies. Lastly, in 2021, they attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they obtained a certification in Oxford Entrepreneurship: Venture Finance Programme.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained additional certification in the Oxford Entrepreneurship: Venture Finance Programme from the University of Oxford in May 2021.
