Thomas Ray

Thomas Ray is an accomplished professional in network operations and engineering with extensive experience in the telecommunications sector. Currently serving as the Director of Global Network Operations at Zayo Group, Thomas oversees the Global NOC for strategic customers. Prior to this role, experience includes management positions at Actalent, where Thomas provides network engineering solutions to utility clients, and at Charter Communications, managing South Core Optical operations. Thomas previously held significant roles at companies such as Heron's Cove Enterprises, Sycamore Networks, WorldCom, and WilTel Communications, contributing to the growth of network engineering departments and implementing engineering solutions. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Thomas served as an Avionics Technician for over 21 years. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and both a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Arkansas.
