Marilu served as an Accounts Payable Supervisor at St. Regis Hotel from October 2007 to July 2011 and as an Accounts Receivable & General Cashier at Marriott International in August 2007. Marilu had previous roles as Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable and Front Desk Supervisor at Avon Old Farms Hotel from August 2005 to July 2007 and June 1999 to August 2005, respectively. Marilu gained banking experience as a Personal Banking Representative at Sovereign Bank from February 2002 to July 2005. Additionally, they started their career in the hospitality industry as a Corporate Management Trainee at Hyatt Hotels Corporation from January 2001 to October 2001.
Marilu Rivera attended Johnson and Wales University from 1997 to 2000. During this time, they pursued a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management with a specialization in Food & Beverage Management. In October 2016, Marilu obtained a certification in the basics of Excel 2016 from LinkedIn.
