Yuanbo Zhu

Yuanbo Zhu is an experienced embedded software engineer currently working at ZD Automotive since July 2023. Previously, Yuanbo held the position of Engineer for Functional Safety in Robotics at coboworx from January 2022 to June 2023, where key responsibilities included designing and implementing hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test automation tools, controlling robotics systems, and verifying safety software for robots. Yuanbo's prior experience includes roles as a working student at Jomoo Kitchen & Bath Deutschland GmbH, a research assistant at Fraunhofer IGCV focusing on agile software development and data engineering, and an intern at Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., where mechanical planning was a primary task. Yuanbo holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen. Additionally, participation in the TUM Skills Excellence Program further highlights a commitment to professional development.
