Richard Hervey

Richard Hervey is a software engineer who has worked for Daugherty Business Solutions, Jericho Systems, Fenner Investments, Alcatel-Lucent, and Rockwell Collins. Richard is currently the Director and Software Architect at Zeal IT Consultants.

Richard began their career in customer service support at Alcatel-Lucent, where they were responsible for GPON and BPON shelf maintenance, software loads of customer settings, and troubleshooting common problems. Richard then transitioned to Rockwell Collins as a software engineer, where they served as a requirements designer, core Java developer, UML designer/architect, and integrator/tester of several software pieces on developed hardware.

In 2009, Richard left Rockwell Collins to join Fenner Investments as a Sun Certified Java Programmer. Richard remained with Fenner until 2012, when they transitioned to Jericho Systems as a software engineer. Richard worked with Jericho Systems until 2014, when they joined Daugherty Business Solutions as a software engineer.

Richard has been with Zeal IT Consultants since 2021 and currently serves as the Director and Software Architect.

Richard Hervey has a BS in Software Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas and Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer certification from Oracle.
