Zecon Bhd
Datuk Haji Zainal Abidin bin Haji Ahmad launched his career in the Sarawak Civil Service in 1981. He moved on to the corporate sector in 1987 and began a career in the construction industry.
Zainal was appointed Group Managing Director of ZECON in July 1994, and has since stayed on the Chair of the Executive Committee. Through his initiation, the ZECON Group has undertaken dynamic diversification in recent years, and has even positioned itself for international ventures.
Zainal holds a Master of Arts in Management from the University of Kent, UK, a Bachelor of Arts from University Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Kent, UK. He is also a Managing Director of Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad, and a Director as well as major shareholder of Dawala Capital Sdn Bhd.
