Annie Cooper

Annie has over 20 years’ experience as a pension professional, the majority of which was as Head of Pensions for a well-known retailer, and joined Inside Pensions (now part of ZEDRA) in 2015.

As well as being a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI), Annie obtained the Investment Management Certificate of the IMC (part of the CFA), and is knowledgeable about investments.

Her experience includes acting as Secretary to Trustee Boards and Committees, including funding, investment, audit, administration and operations. She also headed an in-house DB and DC administration team, led an auto-enrolment project, the closure of two defined benefit schemes to future accrual, dealt with covenant issues, scheme accounts and audit, member communications, and the wind-up of an Irish pension scheme.

Prior to her involvement in the pensions industry, Annie was assistant to the Chairman of a FTSE100 company, so she is very commercially minded.
