Jon Mckay

Jon is responsible for leading the internal legal team and providing legal support to the business across all of its service lines and offices. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2008 and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

In addition to providing legal advice for the business, problem solving in the context of day-to-day operations and management of any litigation and legal risk, Jon has overall responsibility for ensuring that the business adheres to changes in law affecting the Group’s service offering and to identify and remedy complex legal issues that may affect it.

Jon began his professional career with the law firm DLA Piper, first in Madrid then in London before moving to Jersey to work with the Private Client team at Carey Olsen.

Jon subsequently moved back to London to lead the London pensions team of Maclay Murray & Spens LLP before leaving private practice and moving into industry with the Standard Bank Group to provide legal and risk oversight and management of their private client offering across Jersey, Mauritius and sub-Saharan Africa.

Jon moved to Geneva in 2019 to take up a board position with Accuro, with overall management responsibility of the client relationship team prior to becoming the Managing Director of TrustQore (Switzerland) SA. He joined ZEDRA in 2023.

Jon holds a 1st class honours degree in Modern European Languages (Spanish, Italian and Catalan) from Durham University, a GDL and LPC from Nottingham Law School, an MBA from Durham Business School and the STEP Post-graduate Diploma in Private Wealth Advising.
