Somnath Malakar

Somnath Malakar is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries, currently serving as the CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited for Sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean Islands since November 2020. Prior to this, Somnath held the position of Managing Director at Shalina Healthcare, overseeing multiple functions including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Regulatory compliance. Somnath also managed the Food & Beverage business for Fareast Mercantile Co. Ltd. in Nigeria and has contributed to sales and business development in notable companies such as HCL Infosystems Ltd., NourishCo, ITC Limited, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, and Cadbury plc. Somnath Malakar holds an MBA in Marketing from IMM Calcutta.
