Mario O'Brien

Mario O'Brien, M. Ed. has a diverse work history spanning multiple industries. Mario currently serves as the Director of Technology at Zeeks Pizza since April 2022. Prior to that, they were a Facilitator for the Executive Working Group at Zeeks Pizza from January 2021 to June 2022, as well as an I/T Program Manager and the Director of Learning, Development, and Communications from June 2020 to May 2022. Mario also held the position of Director of Training at Zeeks Pizza from March 2019 to June 2020.

Before joining Zeeks Pizza, Mario held various roles at RISE UP Ultimate, including Instructional Designer from November 2012 to January 2019. Mario was also involved in leadership consulting and training, logistics and event management, program management, and video production and visual design during their time at RISE UP Ultimate.

Additionally, Mario served as the Varsity Ultimate Coach at University Prep from August 2014 to December 2018. Mario also worked as the Coach Development Manager and Lead Coach at DiscNW, where they developed employee assessment programs and implemented comprehensive coach training.

Mario's earlier career includes roles as an Educational Consultant and Video Director at Early Recognition Is Critical (E.R.I.C.), a Spanish Teacher and Substitute Teacher at Portland Public Schools, a Mathematics Teacher at Parkrose High School, and a Math Teacher at Gresham-Barlow School District 10J.

Their earliest work experience was as the Program Director at Camp Manitou in the Eau Claire YMCA from May 1999 to August 2007. Overall, Mario O'Brien, M. Ed. has a wealth of experience in leadership, training, education, and program management across a variety of organizations and industries.

Mario O'Brien, M. Ed. earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching (Math, Spanish) from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2001-2005. Mario furthered their studies at Portland State University from 2008-2016, obtaining a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
