Elizabeth Peterson has a background in Biomedical Sciences, having obtained a Bachelor's degree and an Honour's degree from the University of Technology Sydney. Elizabeth furthered their education at the same university, completing a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Elizabeth has experience working as a Research Assistant at the Microbial Imaging Facility UTS on a maternity leave cover contract role. Elizabeth then transitioned into academia, working as a Casual Academic at the University of Technology Sydney. Currently, Elizabeth holds the position of Product Application Sales Specialist at ZEISS Australia and New Zealand.
