Rick Abbott

Rick Abbott has extensive experience in quality management and operational excellence across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Manager of Quality and Continuous Improvement for the Zekelman Pipe Division since December 2012, Rick previously held significant roles including Director of Operations at R.G. Brewton, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed the development of procedures and tools during substantial company growth. Previous positions include Quality Manager at Alcoa Corporation and a series of roles at Sony Corporation, culminating in management of glass panel manufacturing. Rick's foundational experience in production and process control began at Kopp Glass, Inc. and earlier at Vesuvius. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Science and Engineering from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Management from Frostburg State University, complemented by a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Sony.
