Federico Lluesma Rodríguez has been involved in the field of Hyperloop since 2016, when they began working at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) as a Scholarship assistant. In the same year, they also began working at Hyperloop UPV, where they held the roles of Technical Director, Head of Dynamics, Levitation Engineer, and Propulsion engineer. In 2018, they joined Zeleros Hyperloop as the Dynamics Unit Lead, where they were responsible for the dynamics and propulsion of the vehicle, and the development of a thermodynamic model to assess the behaviour of the prototype in its working environment. Federico also held the role of Dynamics Unit Engineer, where they were responsible for CFD simulations and the integration of all the subsystems to develop a dynamic simulator and to obtain a virtual prototype. In 2020, they joined the European Hyperloop Week as a Technical Jury, where they were responsible for assessing the development of the systems/projects/prototypes the teams were presenting to the competition, ensuring their safety, and evaluating the physical demonstrations and their procedures.
Federico Lluesma Rodríguez has a long history of education in the field of aeronautical engineering. Federico earned their Engineer's degree from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2016, and then went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc) from UPV in 2018. Federico then furthered their studies at Cranfield University, where they earned a Master of Science - MS in Computational Fluid Dynamics in 2018. Currently, they are working on their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Hyperloop research at UPV, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they have been a Short-term Scholar at Purdue University in 2021-2022, studying Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
