Juan Vicén Balaguer

Juan Vicén Balaguer has a wealth of experience in the transportation and technology industries. Juan began their career in 2013 as an Advisor and Co-Founder of Makers UPV, a non-profit community of students from the Universitat Politècnica of València. In 2015, they became Co-Founder and Chief Communications Officer of Hyperloop UPV, where they were able to raise the support of more than 30 companies and had global impact. In 2016, they Co-Founded and became Chief Marketing Officer of Zeleros Hyperloop, which designs and develops new technologies for sustainable and efficient transportation. In 2019, they were a Participant at Young Green Tech. In 2020, they were a Participant at the Shenzhen Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition and Sharjah Accelerator. In 2021, they were awarded a Forbes Under 30 Award. In 2022, they were awarded the Santander X 'Countdown to Zero' Prize at Formula 1 GP Mexico and Most Disruptive Project Prize at South Summit Madrid. Juan was also a Golden Awardee of the European Startup Prize for Mobility.

Juan Vicén Balaguer's education history includes completing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2015, a Double Degree Master in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2017, and a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge in 2013. Juan also attended Purdue University as a Visiting Student for the Hyperloop Pod Competition in 2017, and Texas A&M University for the Hyperloop Design Weekend Competition, SpaceX/Tesla in 2016. In addition, they obtained a B2 Certificate & Certificate of Attendance from the EF International Language Center de Manchester in 2011, German Language Lessons from Willstätter Gymnasium Nürnberg Deutschland in 2010, and a Trinity Language Certificate from Trinity College in 2005. Their additional certifications include a Top Design & Best Propulsion Subsystem Award from SpaceX in 2016, a Certificate B2 German from the Goethe-Institut e.V. in 2015, and a CAE Certificate C1 English from the University of Cambridge in 2013.
