Patrick Thaxton

Patrick Thaxton serves as the Director of Security and Risk at Zelis since August 2022, focusing on enhancing program maturity in cyber security. Prior to this role, Patrick held several positions at Carrier, including Associate Director of Cyber Third Party Risk & GRC from December 2018 to August 2022, where responsibilities included designing and leading the Cyber Third Party Risk Management program. Earlier experience at Carrier involved managing compliance and audits as Sr. Manager of Third Party Risk and GRC and serving as IT Controller. Patrick's career also includes a tenure at KPMG US, where responsibilities encompassed providing IT audit assurance for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) audits and leading risk and compliance projects. Patrick began the professional journey as an IT System Technician at the University of Georgia Physical Plant. Education was completed at the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems.
