Namir Hassan

Namir Hassan has a long and varied work experience. Namir began their career in 1998 as a Research Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline. In 2000, they moved to The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research as a Scientist. In 2004, they returned to GlaxoSmithKline as a Group Leader. In 2009, they joined Immunocore Limited as Director of Translational Research, Oncology and Head of Biology. In 2014, they were Visiting Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and Director of Translational Research & Head of Development, Oncology at Immunocore. In 2016, they became a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Oxford. In 2017, they were appointed Vice President at Immunocore and in 2018, they were named Chief Executive Officer and CSO at Zelluna Immunotherapy.

Namir Hassan completed their undergraduate studies at UCL, obtaining a BSc Hons (First Class) in Biotechnology between 1996 and 2000. Namir then attended the University of Oxford, where they earned a D. Phil in Immunology between 2000 and 2004.
