Annabelle Redelmeier has a diverse work experience. Annabelle began their career in 2014 as a Financial Research Analyst at Coerente Capital Management, where they were a summer intern and initiated coverage on companies in the iron ore and industrial gas sectors. In 2016, they became a Graduate Student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at McGill University, where they were supervised by Prof. Russell Steele and Prof. Johanna Neslehova. In 2018, they joined Norsk Regnesentral as a Research Scientist, where they gained experience with machine learning and explainable AI in anomaly detection, official statistics, insurance, and fraud detection. Annabelle developed an NLP model for predicting the sentiments of insurance customers and insurance fraud in Keras with BERT, bag-of-words, word embeddings, and meta features. Annabelle also predicted missing nutritional values of food products using random forests and feature engineering based on NLP techniques and k-nearest neighbours. In 2022, they joined Zelus Analytics as a Data Scientist.
Annabelle Redelmeier attended Crofton House School from 2008 to 2012. Annabelle then went on to McGill University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science with Distinction in Math and Economics in 2016. In 2018, they completed a Master of Science in Statistics from McGill University. Annabelle also attended the McGill Summer School in Health Statistics in 2018 and the QRM Summer School: Risk Complex Systems in 2017.
