Matthew Reyers has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2012, they worked as a waiter at Crystal at York Banquet Hall. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Lead Math Tutor at Ski and Company Tutoring, and in 2016 they were an Intern, Enterprise Intelligence at Vancity, where they acted as Team Foundation Server Manager for the Banking Application Renewal and planned and facilitated the inaugural Vancity Data 4 Impact Conference. In 2017, they were an Intern, Survey Methodologist at Statistics Canada, where they were responsible for Outlier Detection and Imputation on the National Travel Survey. From 2018 to 2020, they were a MSc Student and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University, and in 2018 they were an Organizer for the Vancouver Sports Analytics Symposium and Hackathon. Since 2020, they have been a Data Scientist at Zelus Analytics.

Matthew Reyers began their educational journey in 2008 when they attended Enver Creek for their high school education. Matthew then moved on to Simon Fraser University in 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree with Distinction in Operation Research- Mathematics in 2018. Matthew continued their studies at Simon Fraser University, completing a Master of Science in Statistics in 2020.
