Steven Orgill is currently working as a Data Scientist at Zelus Analytics and as a Motion Research Fellow at the Minnesota Twins. Prior to this, they held a variety of roles from 2018 to 2021. In 2018, they were a Teaching/Research Assistant, Research Analyst in Statistics and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Intern at Brigham Young University, Fresh Gravity and ExxonMobil respectively. In 2019, they were a Data Science & Analytics Intern - Marketing at Southwest Airlines, where they created a churn model to predict if a customer will stop flying Southwest in the near future. In 2020, they were a Data Science & Analytics Intern at ExxonMobil.
Steven Orgill attended Brigham Young University from 2014 to 2021, earning a Bachelor's degree in Statistics: Data Science in 2021 and a Master's degree in Statistics in 2021. In addition, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn in 2019: Building Deep Learning Applications with Keras 2.0 and Building a Recommendation System with Python Machine Learning & AI.
