Emira Winata

Emira Winata has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Emira began their career in 2006 as a Bank Teller at TD, where they worked until 2009. Emira then worked at Aylett Grant Tax LLP as a Staff Accountant from 2009 to 2010. After that, they joined Hay & Watson BC, Chartered Accountants as an Intermediate Auditor from 2010 to 2011. In 2012, they became a Senior Auditor at Wolrige Mahon LLP (now Baker Tilly) until 2013. In the same year, they also started working at CPA Canada as a CPA Associate Session Leader, Facilitator, Mentor, and Marker, a role which they continue to hold. In 2013, they joined ZE PowerGroup Inc. and has held various roles within the company, including Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, Controller, and their current position as Director of Finance and Human Resources.

Emira Winata has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in Psychology from The University of British Columbia, obtained in 2007. Emira has also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2015. In addition, they hold a Chartered Accountant Designation (CPA, CA) from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) obtained in 2011, as well as a Certificate in The Controllership Program from CPA Canada obtained in 2015. Emira also holds a Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation from the Canadian Payroll Association obtained in 2015.
