Simon Oberžan

Simon Oberžan has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Simon started their career as a Software Developer at Dopinus d.o.o. in 2015 and continued to work in the same position at the same company in 2016. Simon then moved to the University of Ljubljana, where they worked as a Laboratory Assistant from April 2016 to June 2017.

In 2017, Simon joined IBM as an IT Specialist in August 2017 and worked in that role until June 2018. Simon then transitioned to the role of IS Delivery Specialist, which they held from June 2018 to June 2020. Lastly, at IBM, Simon worked as a Cloud and DevOps Engineer from June 2020 to September 2021.

After leaving IBM, Simon joined Kyndryl, where they worked as a Cloud and DevOps Engineer from September 2021 to April 2022. Currently, Simon is employed at Zemanta, an Outbrain company, where they hold the position of Site Reliability Engineer since May 2022.

Simon Oberžan received their Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their degree, Simon has obtained various certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2021, DevOps Essentials from IBM in September 2020, Cloud Core from IBM in May 2020, and Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Python for Data Science from deeplearning.ai in April 2020, and IBM Blockchain Essentials from IBM in September 2017. Simon also holds certifications in Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) from Red Hat in February 2020 and Master Skills 2018 – ISAM Security Professional from IBM in November 2018.
